Push Presents commemorate the birth of a baby and are the latest gift-giving tradition.  The push-present practice long performed in such countries as England, Italy and India has grown over the past few years, primarily by word-of-mouth. The idea is when a new Mom gets her gift, usually a piece of jewelry, she tells her friends who pass on the idea to their husbands.

Our beads, toggles, and other accents are made from: .925 sterling silver and 14K gold filled materials (unless otherwise noted). We use Swarovski crystals and Czech glass for our birthstone and accent beads.

What type of silver do you use? TOP
We use .925 sterling silver which is comprised of sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper.

What are Bali Beads made of? TOP
Bali Beads are handmade in Bali, Indonesia, by silversmiths who have honed their skills over genarations. Each bead is handmade individually out of sterling silver. Every little granule and wire is applied by hand to the beads. The beads are then antiqued, giving them more depth. The results are beautiful, unique beads unlike any others in the world.

What is Gold-Filled? TOP
Gold-filled describes when a layer of gold is mechanically bonded with heat and pressure to one or more surfaces of the supporting base metal, then rolled or drawn to a given thickness. In the jewelry industry the quantity of gold must be at least 1/20th by weight of the total product. Under FTC regulations, a product may be marked as 14, 12 or 10kt gold-filled. Karat measurement of the gold content must be part of the marking or designation, so when you see our items listed as 14/20 it means it is 14k gold equaling 5% of the weight of the piece. Gold-filled items will remain gold for a lifetime if cared for properly. The occasional silver spot is from solder holding joints together. Unless you are using harsh chemicals or abrasives, the gold layer will stay gold for years to come!

How do I Care for my Photo Jewelry TOP

The jewelry is water-resistant not waterproof.  Remove your jewelry before swimming or bathing as pool chemicals and extended submersion in water may harm the photo.  A UV inhibitor was added to the coating to reduce the effects of light exposure. However, with all photos prolonged exposure to UV or bright lighting, i.e. halogen bulbs will fade the appearance of the photograph.  To preserve your photo avoid prolonged exposure to direct light.

How do I care for my jewelry? TOP

Personalized jewelry:  Sterling silver will tarnish if left out. The good news is the jewelry can return to it's original sparkle with a quick buff from a silver polishing cloth. Please do NOT use jewelry cleaners or dips to clean your bracelet. It will damage the crystals. Also, it's best not to wear your bracelet in chlorinated water or at the ocean.

What size photo do you need? TOP

We can use any photo size from 8x10 to 4x6.  Obviously larger photos work best.  Any photos sent to us via snail mail will be returned untouched.

What if I want my color photo to be black and white? TOP

No problem! Just indicate on your order, if you want your finish to be black and white or sepia.

What if it’s a great photo but not a great background? TOP

Photos will be cropped to give you the best picture possible.  If the background is distracting or fuzzy, we will touch-up.  Please let us know if you do not want us to re-touch your photo.
